Elisabeth Sandner -Owner and Master Certified Instructor
Elisabeth graduated from Turning Point Studios Pilates instructor training program in 2002. She has continued her education working with Pilates elders and instructors around the country in order to further her experience and knowledge of working to enhance sports performance as well as pre and post surgery rehabilitation. Elisabeth was the Pilates Director for Golds Gym in Elk Grove for 6 years.
She studied Ballet for many years at California Ballet Academy and performed with Oakland Ballet, ODC and Diablo Light Opera Company. Elisabeth taught ballet to children and special needs adults, and also taught swim lessons to young children for four years. She's continuing to learn about the human body and movement through Massage and Physical Therapy, Yoga, Franklin Method, Corealign and Gyrotonics® trainings.
Mari Minamide-Certified Instructor
Mari started her personal Pilates practice eight years ago. She began with the reformer and then was introduced to the tower. She was soon hooked for life, completed the Balance Body Teacher Training Program on all Apparatus and Mat in October 2011.
Pilates is about the art of movement which is essential to staying young, healthy and strong. Mari believes that Pilates is the secret to longevity, it is the fountain of youth. Her life before Pilates with spent in the world of Architecture, graduating from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor of Architecture degree. After spending 20 plus years in architecture she decided to make a change and start teaching. In addition to Pilates, she enjoys running, tae kwon do, jewelry making, egg decorating and spending time at the river with my shiba inu.
Heidi McCarthy- Certified Instructor
Heidi began her movement education as a young child studying many forms of dance. Later she attained a place in the 4 year intensive training course at Laine Theatre of the Arts in London. She gained teaching qualifications in Classical Ballet and Modern Theatre Dance before going on to dance professionally for 16 years traveling all over the world. Originally she began studying Pilates to address old injuries, finding it a natural transition from the dance world. She graduated from Turning Point Studios instructor training program in 2006 and went on to teach there.
After taking a break to expand her family, Heidi returned to Pilates teaching at The Pump House in Walnut Grove. In addition she happily joined On Point Studios in April 2017. Heidi continues to expand her knowledge by studying with various master instructors and enjoys working with clients helping them increase their body awareness and alignment.
